We started the month off with a theme "BECOME THE STANDARD" and went on to outline the entire STANDARD LANDSCAPE. In continuation of this all important factor – find herewith the guide that will aid you to become more effective and efficient in your activities and goals.

WHY STANDARDS? Standards are imperative because they aid you to determine the necessary tool, skills or strategies to adopt in the attainment of your goal.

There are a plethora of standards everywhere i.e. financial standard, building standard, moral standard, minimum acceptable standards for all endeavours for example attaining a cut off mark during an exam or ensuring you meet the criteria for employment/engagement as the case may be. We even have marital standards etc.... the list is endless.

The essence of standards is to enable us measure or ascertain a benchmark or boundary in attaining our desires - it further bolsters us to being competitive and when we master this art we become superior - far above our contemporaries.

SO HOW DO YOU SET STANDARDS?

Imagine you want to become "the greatest" and "the best" singer in your climes - it is pertinent to operationalise i.e. define the terms - "the best" and "the greatest", secondly you need to research about those who are forerunners in this genre/field of music sing you so emulate.

Clearly this eagle eye view enable you set appropriate minimum best standards for yourself - you will know what to eat and not to eat, how to train your voice, schools to attend or lessons to register for etc. and then VIOLA!!! [French word meaning - that is it...] You have started a journey to being the -  "the greatest" and "the best" singer in your climes - you will now determine to up your ante - go beyond the ordinary and launch out on this set standards!!!!
